Year 12 final exams are only weeks away - are you ready for them? Here are some ways to help you prepare for your upcoming external exams
in October.

Past Papers
Past exams are ultimately the best way to revise. Although learning is conducted in units and topics, the exams do not follow this pattern. So, by familiarising yourself with tackling an array of different questions on one page, you are giving yourself the best chance of success.
In addition, you are helping yourself get used to the way questions are asked and the wording that is used so come exam day, there are no
surprises.
Create a Syllabus Checklist
Hop onto the QCAA website and download a copy of the syllabus for every subject. Then, go through it and create a checklist of all the things you are expected to know by the end of your studies. This will help you see where you need to spend more time revising and also help boost confidence – we bet you know more than you thought you did.
Condensing Is Key
The best way to study is to not really study, but just condense your notes as much as you can. Have a separate book for study and some
plastic sleeve folders. Look at the content you need to learn and transfer it condensed into your study book and keep further condensing
until you have eliminated anything unnecessary and your notes are the core things you need to remember. When you can’t go any further,
re-write these condensed notes and pop them in a plastic sleeve folder for revision.
